i want to post because i want to post. is that a good reason? this poor blog. yea. im so happy that i am able to contribute a post to it. and mine is post no. 200!!!! and in webdings, 200 is 200. =) LOL. this is so random. and i have a feeling that i am rambling. hmm. happy chinese new year everyone!!! :DD oh... all the nan hua ppl and some other ppl from other sch (im so srry i dun rmb the schools...) who went for the ISC are now not in secondary sch anymore... how are you all? im sure your results are all super good. enjoy your new schools! may you get nice teachers and nice friends and... and... and... very nice grades! whee... to those taking o level this year, all the best. study hard. must study hard. harder than studying for PSLE.

Nan Hua International Summer Camp 2006

Good morning to all of you! Its me again.....Patrick......erm.....Stud. Okay, an update. I am in Melbourne!! For holidays? Nope, for at least 6 years!!! Well, my wife & I are planning to do our MBA with Melbourne Uni & Biz School (Hopefully cos its ranked even higher than NUS & NTU combined!!!) Since we don't have $$, we are doing it part time & working full time. My wife has already started working (a friend commented that she's the smarter one, I think I am cos I married her....muahaahaa.) Boy is the weather crazy here! Now I understand when they say we can get 4 seasons in a day in Melbourne! So if you guys or gals are coming down under, do let me know. I will get the toilet ready for you. Haahaa! Just joking.

Firstly, I would like to aplogise to Jas cos I promised her yesterday that i'll blog but I did not due to the fact that I had work up to my neck. Furthermore, when I wanted to log in, I realise that I had forgotten my password.

Was prompted to retrieve my password by keying my login ID but apparently, I forgot that too..... But nothing could keep me away from inputting in this all impt ISC blog.

I was told to tell everyone here that I so miss the camp...... haha.... Anyways, I was glad to see you people at the BBQ. Enjoyed my time there and of course a few lucky people got to sample my cooking..... To the pple who played an active part in making the BBQ possible such as the ridiculously rich Jess, Jiawen, Jin Xing and Jasmine..... All the Js.....

But Kudos to Jin Xing who was ordered around by the Ah GoGo sistas....

Nevertheless, I do look forward to the next time when we have the gathering again which I presume will be at the end of the year. In the meantime, all the best for the upcoming examinations....

Depression can be measured by rates? I don't even know if i am depressed. There is a very thin line between being depressed and being serious, at least for me. 南华中学于7月17日至7月21日举办了历来规模最大的夏令营——“南华国际夏令营”，吸引了来自北京、香港、台湾、泰国及新加坡，约100名师生参加。师生们在五天的行程内参观了新加坡的各个旅游景点，了解了本地文化，也和各国的朋友进行交流。

夏令营的主题为eX3： eXcite（刺激）、eXplore（发现）、eXperience（体验）南华中学潘发泉副校长说：“eX3 是校方为本届夏日营所设的综合主题。我们希望来自各国的学生们都能一起参与和享受我们所为他们精心安排的各种活动，并从中交到更多来自不同国家的新朋友。”

令人难忘的新加坡

在多项活动当中，赛龙舟和小印度之旅令各地学生留下最深刻印象。除此，其他活动还包括参访夜间动物园、参观圣淘沙音乐喷泉，麦里芝蓄水池长达150公尺的“树顶吊桥”等，让他们打开了眼界。
赛龙舟是中华文化传统里一项讲究团队精神的活动之一。南华中学的王施慧（15岁）说：“赛龙舟虽然非常的吃力，但由于每个人都想赢，我们都得坚持下去。我从中学习到沟通和配合都很重要，如果少了一样，我们就无法达到终点了。”

学生们在小印度了解印族文化并体验了henna 纹身。由于许多学生都是第一次接触到印族文化，因此都感到新鲜和好奇。

南华中学于7月19日那晚摇身变成了热闹的营火会场地。在璀璨的星空下，学生和老师们聚集在广场共舞。营火会上还请来了我国教育部长尚达曼担任当晚的贵宾。

当天的气氛非常高昂，除了各国的老师们，就连尚达曼部长和西区第一校群督导Mr Puvan Ariaratnam也以轻松闲适的心情，在广场上跳舞，与同学们打成一片。

除了歌舞活动，校方还安排了一场模拟美国Project Runway的比赛，考验学生的想象力。为了加强学生们的环保意识，各组学生必须利用废物，把垃圾袋、报纸及其他物品设计一套服装，由学生当模特儿穿上走秀。

来自台湾的黄铃惠（13岁）表示自己最喜欢的活动就是营火会。她觉得新加坡的营火会非常热闹，令人情绪高昂。她说：“相比之下在台湾，我看过的营火会还没那么high过，都比较沉闷一点。”

五天的时间很快就过去，参与的学生们都非常依依不舍，当场落泪。受访的所有师生们都表示非常享受在新加坡的这五天，也感受到了新加坡人热情的一面。许多老师也说，如果再有机会参与这类交流营，一定会带更多学生来。

来自香港的梁德智老师就说：“我觉得这次的活动筹备得非常好，南华的师生都给我们无微不至的照顾。若有机会，我一定再来！”

外国师生们怎么说？

游览新加坡也让我体会到新加坡的魅力，尤其让我难忘的是圣陶沙的音乐喷泉，七彩缤纷的喷泉随着音乐“摆动”。我会尽量与在这五天内结交的朋友们保持联络。

Ms Penprapa Chankane （老师，泰国）：

这次来新令我赞不绝口的是新加坡学生们的热情。起初，我们泰国的学生有一点羞瑟，在沟通上也无法融入这里的文化，但新加坡的学生很快地让他们融入他们各自的组别。来到这边有宾至如归的感觉。

柯曼丽、方姿懿（老师，台湾）：

我们派来的学生都是国一、国二生，所以比较内向，不懂得与队友打交道。开始时他们很难与英文沟通，但五天下来他们学会了如何与人沟通，也学习到了新加坡的文化与特征，对他们来说非常新鲜有趣，就连我们老师也从中获益。

觉得这次的夏日营太棒了！非常喜欢营火会以及赛龙舟。我觉得这里的学生老师们很友善，也很照顾我们，让我们一点也不会想家。

wah...stomachache until its like i may jus do it on the spot...and pen dropped on the floor last nite...and it was my only pen...wat else could possibly happen to make the test worse? and great it did...the pen dropped but still can write...but slow...35 minutes passed and i jus finished mcq...for chem...and 20 minutes passed and i was jus abt to finish my part on citizen armed force for ss...WAH...but ok lar....since i am optimistic...yes...jas...its u passed it on to me....applaud for her every1...lol...i can do betta in others! maths...shudn't be much of a prob...b lim said this, 'if it isn't set by me, then it isn't difficult!'
